CVE-2021-40650Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Cookie interception via missing Secure attribute

Published Jun 14, 2022 · Updated Jul 9, 2026

Missing Secure protection in Software AG CONNX 6.2.0.1269 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to intercept an anonymous session cookie. The application emits the .ASPXANONYMOUS cookie in a Set-Cookie header without the Secure attribute, so browsers can transmit it over unencrypted HTTP. Interception requires an HTTP request across a network path the attacker can observe, and the demonstrated impact is disclosure of that cookie.
