Unauthenticated sensitive-file disclosure via file-manager download
Published Sep 15, 2021 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Improper access control in JFinal CMS 5.1.0 allows remote attackers to read sensitive files via a crafted file-manager download request. The file-manager download handler accepts a path under the web directory and serves files such as WEB-INF/classes/conf/db.properties without enforcing authorization or constraining traversal. The endpoint is remotely reachable without authentication, exposing database credentials and other configuration data; the record does not show integrity or service-interruption impact.
