Unauthenticated command execution via unsanitized subnet input
Published Dec 22, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Command injection in Opmantek Open-AudIT 3.5.0 through 4.2.0 allows remote attackers to execute operating-system commands without authentication. The public util.php subnet_size method appends the POST subnet value directly to an nmap command passed to exec without validation. The endpoint requires no credentials, and injected shell metacharacters execute with the web service process privileges.
