Service degradation via executable documentation examples
Published Oct 12, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Denial of service in SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP and ABAP Platform 740 and 750 through 755 allows remote attackers to reduce server performance. The /sap/public/bc/abap documentation service exposes executable examples, so repeated requests consume processing capacity. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the documented consequence is degraded performance rather than a crash or data compromise.
