Authenticated command execution via unvalidated DNS address
Published Jan 28, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
OS command injection in Reolink RLC-410W 3.0.0.136_20121102 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands via HTTP. The bc_dns_set function inserts the SetLocalLink dns1 value into an echo command for /etc/resolv.conf and passes the resulting string to pip_system without validation. The privileged network-settings API and high privileges are required; successful exploitation runs attacker-supplied commands on the camera.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
