CVE-2021-40409Network attack vector

Authenticated command execution via unvalidated DDNS password

Published Jan 28, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025

OS command injection in Reolink RLC-410W 3.0.0.136_20121102 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands via SetDdns. The set_dds_config function inserts the API-supplied DDNS password into a shell command without validation and passes the result to pip_system. Administrative access to the privileged network-settings API is required, and successful exploitation executes arbitrary commands on the camera.
