Authenticated command execution via unvalidated DDNS username
Published Jan 28, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
OS command injection in Reolink RLC-410W 3.0.0.136_20121102 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands via SetDdns. The set_dds_config function formats the SetDdns userName value into a shell command without validation, then passes that command to pip_system. Access to the privileged network-settings API is required; successful exploitation executes commands with the camera service's operating-system privileges.
