Unauthenticated access via JSON command bypass
Published Jan 28, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Authentication bypass in Reolink RLC-410W v3.0.0.136_20121102 allows remote attackers to access protected camera APIs via HTTP. The cgiserver.cgi parser authorizes requests by checking the URL cmd parameter while executing commands supplied in a JSON body array, allowing a non-Login command to evade the login gate. No credentials or user interaction are required; reachable devices can expose APIs intended for authenticated sessions, with integrity impact demonstrated by Talos.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
