Unauthenticated video disclosure via unguarded MJPEG endpoint
Published Sep 1, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Improper access control in Compro IP70, IP570, IP60, and TN540 cameras allows remote attackers to view live video without authentication. The /cgi-bin/view/index_MJpeg.cgi endpoint serves the MJPEG camera stream without enforcing an authorization check. Network access to the camera is sufficient, and the documented consequence is read-only disclosure of live video rather than configuration changes or service interruption.
