Authenticated code execution via stored PHP content
Published Sep 10, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Code injection in playSMS before 1.4.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary PHP through the information-page setting. The core_main_config page stores PHP supplied as information content without blocking executable syntax, and loading core_welcome executes that stored code. Exploitation requires administrator access to change the main configuration and runs the payload with the web server process privileges.
