Unauthenticated code execution via unrestricted script path
Published Oct 25, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Path traversal in GridPro Request Management for Windows Azure Pack before 2.0.7912 allows remote attackers to execute code. The ServiceManagerTenant/GetVisibilityMap endpoint accepts an unrestricted scriptName JSON value for PowerShell execution, so traversal sequences, absolute paths, or UNC paths select unintended scripts. Network access to the endpoint is sufficient; an attacker-controlled share can supply an arbitrary PowerShell script that runs on the server.
