Unauthenticated SQL injection via login username
Published Sep 1, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
SQL injection in openSIS 8.0 with MySQL or MariaDB allows remote attackers to issue database commands through the login form. The index.php login path embeds the POST USERNAME value in an UPDATE statement without neutralizing quote characters, enabling error-based and time-based injection. No authentication is required; a crafted username reaches the database during failed-login processing and allows database data to be read or altered or the service to be interrupted.
