Unauthorized invoice creation via reusable CSRF tokens
Published Dec 9, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in Kimai before 1.16.7 allows remote attackers to create invoices through a crafted request in an authenticated user's browser. InvoiceController::createInvoiceAction accepts the invoice.create token without invalidating it, while shared search handling retains the token in query parameters. Exploitation requires interaction by a logged-in user who can create invoices, and the resulting action writes an unauthorized invoice under that user's session.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
