Stored script execution via unsanitized configuration fields
Published Sep 9, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in Rittal CMC PU III Web management 3.11.00_2 allows remote authenticated users to run scripts in another user's browser. The User Configuration, Task Configuration, and logging-filter dialogs store unsanitized values, and affected views and logs later render them as HTML. A valid or hijacked management session is required to plant the payload, and another user must open an affected section, enabling browser-context data access or actions.
