Stored script execution via unsanitized wall messages
Published Sep 13, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in the Gibbon 22.0.00 Messenger wall allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in another user's browser. New-message handling stores wall text without adequate sanitization, and the wall later renders the injected script. The attacker needs message-wall access and a recipient must view the message, enabling browser-context data access or actions as that recipient.
