Device reload via improperly validated HTTPS request
Published Oct 27, 2021 · Updated Nov 7, 2024
Denial of service in Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance Software allows remote attackers to reload devices via crafted HTTPS requests. The web services interface improperly validates requests while parsing them, permitting a stack-based buffer overflow that forces a reload. Exposure requires a vulnerable release with AnyConnect IKEv2 client services, AnyConnect SSL VPN, or Clientless SSL VPN enabled.
