Command injection in Cisco Catalyst PON Series Switches ONT web interface allows unauthenticated remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands. The interface insufficiently validates user-supplied input in crafted requests, allowing command execution as the root user. Exploitation requires network access to the web management interface; successful attacks can take complete control of the device, while Cisco reports no public malicious use.
