Stored XSS via unsanitized dashboard action buttons
Published Dec 7, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in SquaredUp DS before 5.3.1 allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through dashboard action buttons. Action-button configuration accepted and stored attacker-controlled content without purifying malicious scripts, then rendered that content for another user. Dashboard-creation permission is required, and execution depends on another user viewing or using the crafted dashboard action.
