Cross-tenant certificate revocation via missing authorization
Published Aug 25, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Missing authorization in PrimeKey EJBCA before 7.6.0 allows remote authenticated users to revoke another tenant's certificates. CMP RA Mode accepts the known RA client certificate for revocation requests without checking its tenant's access to the target CA and profiles. A tenant possessing that certificate can invalidate another tenant's certificates, interrupting certificate-backed authentication or service use.
