Authenticated data modification via ignored group membership
Published Sep 16, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Incorrect access control in NetMotion Mobility 12.0 through 12.12 allows remote authenticated users to read and write server API data. The /webcontrol API accepts any valid local or trusted-domain NTLM credential without enforcing configured administrator-group membership. Exploitation requires manual API enablement and network access to the management interface; device, user, group, and connection state can be altered.
