Service integrity compromise via AOD heap overflow
Published Jan 7, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Heap-based buffer overflow in Huawei EMUI 11.0.0 and 12.0.0 and HarmonyOS 2.0 allows remote attackers to compromise service integrity. Huawei has not published the input path, affected routine, or missing bounds operation that permits the AOD module's heap overwrite. Network access is sufficient without authentication or user interaction; published scoring limits the reported consequence to integrity.
