Unauthenticated data disclosure via path traversal
Published Jan 7, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Path traversal in HwPCAssistant in Huawei HarmonyOS 2.0 allows remote attackers to read data through a network request. Huawei identifies HwPCAssistant as the affected component but has not published the pathname source, request field, or file operation that fails to confine untrusted paths. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the reported consequence is limited to disclosure of data readable by the component.
