Service Desk email disclosure via projects API
Published Dec 13, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Improper access control in GitLab CE/EE allows remote authenticated users to read a project’s private Service Desk email address through the API. The projects API serializes service_desk_address for Guest and Reporter members without enforcing the Maintainer-or-higher visibility rule. Access requires project membership and an enabled Service Desk; affected releases are 12.10 through 14.3.5, 14.4 through 14.4.3, and 14.5 through 14.5.1.
