Sensitive-memory disclosure via TIF buffer over-read
Published Sep 29, 2021 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in Adobe FrameMaker 2019 Update 8 and earlier and 2020 Release Update 2 and earlier allows remote attackers to disclose memory. FrameMaker's TIF image parser fails to validate user-supplied image data before reading past the end of an allocated buffer. Exploitation requires a victim to open a malicious TIF; exposed memory can reveal ASLR information and support a chained process-context attack.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=unspecified <=2019.8
