Installed-app disclosure via missing permission check
Published Mar 30, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Information disclosure in Device Policy in Android 12L allows local users to determine whether an application is installed. Device Policy answers application-installation queries without enforcing the required package-visibility permission check, exposing installed-app presence. A malicious application needs local execution but no additional privileges or user interaction; disclosure is limited to application-presence information.
