Installed-app disclosure via Framework side channel
Published Mar 30, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Information disclosure in Android 12L Framework allows local users to determine whether an app is installed without query permissions. The public record identifies a side-channel observable discrepancy but does not disclose the Framework API, method, or response difference that leaks package presence. A locally running app needs no additional execution privileges or user interaction, and the disclosed consequence is limited to installed-app presence.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
