Local privilege escalation via coherent-memory double free
Published Mar 16, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Double free in the Android kernel allows local users with System execution privileges to elevate privileges without user interaction. The gasket_free_coherent_memory_all function in gasket_page_table.c releases coherent-memory bookkeeping twice, corrupting kernel memory. Exploitation requires local code already running with System execution privileges and grants higher kernel-backed authority.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
