Authenticated command execution via unsanitized destAddr
Published Nov 10, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
OS command injection in Ubee Interactive UBC1319BA00 firmware 1319010201r009 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands. The ping.cmd diagnostic embeds the destAddr query value in a shell command without neutralizing backticks, so a backtick-delimited payload runs and returns its output. A valid administrative web session and network access to the management interface are required; exploitation executes commands with the device service's privileges.
