Stored XSS via unsanitized lang parameter
Published Aug 22, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Canon Oce Print Exec Workgroup 1.3.2 allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser via the lang parameter. The application inserts the lang value into generated web content without adequate output neutralization, so crafted markup executes when the resulting page is rendered. Exploitation requires a victim to open or otherwise render the malicious response; the documented impact is browser-context confidentiality and integrity loss without a reported service shutdown.
