Authenticated script execution via unescaped date filters
Published Oct 21, 2021 · Updated Mar 31, 2025
Reflected XSS in Easy Digital Downloads 2.11.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute script via date filters. The payment-history table inserts the start-date and end-date request values into HTML input attributes without attribute escaping. A highly privileged WordPress user must open a crafted payment-history URL, causing the injected script to run in that user's browser under the administration origin.
