Authenticated code execution via unchecked plugin ZIP upload
Published Oct 11, 2021 · Updated Feb 14, 2025
Arbitrary file upload in AccessPress Themes products allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP through a crafted plugin ZIP. The plugin_offline_installer_callback handler accepts an attacker-controlled file_location, extracts the referenced ZIP into the plugins directory, and activates its nominated PHP entry without a capability or nonce check. Subscriber access is sufficient; malicious PHP such as a web shell then executes in the WordPress server context, enabling full site takeover.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
