Reflected XSS via unescaped clientref output
Published Dec 14, 2021 · Updated Jan 31, 2025
Reflected XSS in myghpay WooCommerce Payment Gateway 3.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to run scripts through clientref. The processresponse.php endpoint inserts the clientref request value into its HTML response without output encoding, causing browser markup to be interpreted rather than displayed as data. Exploitation requires a victim to open a crafted response URL, enabling script execution in the site's security context without authentication.
