Stored XSS via malicious file tab
Published Nov 15, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Nextcloud Talk before 10.0.7, 10.1.4, 11.1.2, 11.2.0, or 12.0.0 allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser. The stored payload is reached when a user right-clicks a malicious file and opens it in a new tab, causing the Talk file view to render attacker-controlled content. Exploitation requires that user interaction and a browser without effective Content-Security-Policy; modern browsers enforcing the shipped policy block script execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
