CVE-2021-3914Network attack vector

Browser script execution via unencoded UI settings

Published Aug 25, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Cross-site scripting in SmallRye Health UI before 3.1.2 allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser. In healthui.js, processSettings and processError pass the stored title and configured health endpoint URL directly to jQuery html() without encoding. Exploitation requires a user to load the affected UI with a crafted setting or endpoint URL, allowing script to read or modify data available to that UI origin.
