CVE-2021-38957Network attack vector

Sensitive information disclosure via QR input validation

Published Jan 7, 2022 · Updated Sep 17, 2024

Improper input validation in IBM Security Verify Access 10.0.0, 10.0.1.0 and 10.0.2.0 allows remote attackers to disclose sensitive information via QR code generation. IBM identifies hazardous validation in the QR-code generation path but does not publish the specific parameter, function or malformed-input operation. The network request requires no prior privileges but user interaction is required, and the documented impact is information disclosure without integrity or availability impact.
