Privileged API actions via unrestricted CORS origins
Published Jan 4, 2023 · Updated Apr 10, 2025
CORS misconfiguration in the B2B API of IBM Sterling B2B Integrator allows remote authenticated users to retrieve sensitive information. The API does not restrict CORS domain names to trusted domains, allowing requests from an untrusted origin to cross the intended trust boundary. Exploitation requires low-privileged authentication and an installed B2B API; successful requests can perform privileged actions or disclose sensitive information.
