CVE-2021-38925Network attack vector

Sensitive-data decryption via weak cryptographic algorithms

Published Oct 6, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Weak cryptography in IBM Sterling B2B Integrator 5.2.0.0 through 6.0.3.4 and 6.1.0.0 through 6.1.0.3 allows attackers to decrypt sensitive data. The Adapter component protects sensitive information with weaker-than-expected cryptographic algorithms; IBM has not disclosed the algorithms or code path. Network access without privileges or user interaction is sufficient, but high attack complexity is required and the documented impact is limited to confidentiality.
