Database query execution via injectable log column
Published Sep 9, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
SQL injection in the logs listing endpoint of FUEL CMS 1.5.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute database queries via col. The logs/items handler sends the col value into SQL evaluation, as demonstrated by a nested SLEEP subquery that controls response time. The published request carries FUEL session cookies and establishes a time-based oracle; broader data access and lower-privilege reachability are not established.
