Administrative script execution via stored form input
Published Aug 13, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in openBaraza HCM 3.1.6 allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrative user's browser through public HR forms. The application stores values from applicant and subscription text fields and renders them in hr/index.jsp views without neutralizing executable markup. No authentication is required to submit a payload, but an administrative user must open an affected view before the script runs in that user's session.
