Unauthenticated file disclosure via unsanitized log path
Published Aug 24, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Path traversal in NASCENT RemKon Device Manager 4.0.0.0 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary server files via a crafted URL. The maintenance/readLog.php log reader uses attacker-controlled path input without sanitization, allowing traversal outside the intended log directory. No authentication is required by default, and exposure is limited to file reads, including application source code, with no reported write capability.
