Authenticated JavaScript execution via API event comments
Published Nov 3, 2021 · Updated Sep 17, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in Delta Electronics DIALink 1.2.4.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript. The API events interface accepts arbitrary JavaScript in its comment parameter and fails to neutralize that input before rendering it as web content. High-privilege DIALink access is required, and successful exploitation executes script in the affected web context without interrupting service.
