Incorrect permission assignment in FANUC Corporation ROBOGUIDE before 9.40083.00.05 (Rev T) allows local users to gain elevated privileges. ROBOGUIDE assigns unsafe permissions to installed binaries, allowing a local user to overwrite an executable that later runs with SYSTEM rights. Exploitation requires local low-privileged access and user interaction; successful abuse permits file modification at elevated privilege.
