Account enumeration via distinguishable authentication responses
Published Oct 19, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Observable response discrepancy in InHand Networks InRouter615-S 2.3.0.r4724 and 2.3.0.r4870 allows remote attackers to enumerate user accounts. The web authentication process returns distinguishable responses that reveal whether a submitted username exists. No authentication or user interaction is required; disclosed account names can support targeted credential attacks.
