Code execution via path traversal file overwrite
Published Oct 12, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Path traversal in Moxa MXview 3.x through 3.2.2 allows remote attackers to overwrite executable files via crafted paths. The application accepts an attacker-controlled pathname without confining resolution to its intended directory; public advisories do not identify the affected endpoint or function. Unauthenticated network access is sufficient, and overwriting a program or library can cause attacker-supplied code to run when that file is loaded.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
