CVE-2021-3845Network attack vector

Path traversal via unsanitized URL path

Published Jan 4, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

External control of file name or path in ws-scrcpy before 0.7.1 allows remote attackers to read files via crafted URL paths. HttpServer.ts joins the request pathname to publicDir without enforcing that the result remains inside that directory, so traversal escapes the intended web root. The unauthenticated HTTP service must be reachable, and the consequence is unauthorized file disclosure rather than file modification or service interruption.
