Code execution via PDW parser out-of-bounds write
Published Oct 18, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Unexpected sign extension in FATEK Automation WinProladder 3.30 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted PDW file. The PDW parser sign-extends an attacker-controlled value and uses it in a write outside the bounds of an allocated buffer. Exploitation requires a user to open the malicious project file or visit a malicious page, and the resulting code runs in the WinProladder process context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
