Code execution via malformed input file parsing
Published Dec 20, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Out-of-bounds writes in Fuji Electric Tellus Lite V-Simulator and V-Server Lite before 4.0.12.0 allow attackers to execute code. The V-Simulator module parses crafted V9, V8, or X1 files without properly validating user-supplied data, permitting writes past allocated buffers. Exploitation requires a user to open a malicious file or visit a malicious page, and resulting code runs in the current process context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
