Code execution via unchecked V9 file length
Published Dec 20, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stack-based buffer overflow in Fuji Electric Tellus Lite V-Simulator and V-Server Lite before 4.0.12.0 allows remote attackers to execute code. The V-Simulator module copies user-controlled data from a V9 file into a stack buffer without first validating its length. Exploitation requires a user to visit a malicious page or open a malicious file, and resulting code runs in the current process.
