CVE-2021-38392

Cross-region implant programming via editable telemetry settings

Published Oct 4, 2021 · Updated Sep 17, 2024

Improper access control in Boston Scientific ZOOM LATITUDE Model 3120 allows physically proximate attackers to program implants across regions. The device permits its hard drive to be accessed and the stored telemetry-region setting to be altered without enforcing access controls. Physical possession and sufficient skill are required; the changed setting enables interrogation or programming of an implantable device outside its intended region.
