Denial of service in Tor before 0.3.5.16, 0.4.5.10, and 0.4.6.7 allows remote attackers to crash Tor instances. The Ed25519-donna batch-verification path behaves differently from the single-signature path, causing a remotely reachable assertion to fail. No authentication or user interaction is required; the reported consequence is a process crash, not data disclosure or modification.
